This is a short aerial video I made of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Prospect using my new Inspire 2 quadcopter. Probably not the best place to fly with a new quadcopter, but the handling is very similar to my old Inspire 1. This was a very difficult video to make. High winds and low light made for some tricky flying. I’m extremely happy with the end result and I look forward to getting out and making more incredible videos with the new Inspire 2 and X5s camera and lens set.
My video gallery page is loaded with samples of my aerial video work, but before you check out that visual eye candy, let me say just a few more things that may be of interest. There’s no need to have a big takeoff and landing sport. Take offs and landings are done vertically, so you can shoot almost anywhere safely. Do you hate helicopter wind? Yeah, we do too. Because our quadcopter is small, there are minimal effects on the surrounding environment–even sand, snow, and water.
