Vince Neal 7291 DxO Edit

Vince Neil Live – Maine Savings Amphitheater, Bangor, ME
(August 2, 2025)

Lineup:

    •    Vince Neil (formerly of Mötley Crüe) – lead vocals
    •    Bret Michaels (Poison) – also on the bill
    •    Stephen Pearcy (Ratt) – opening act

Though sharing the stage with other glam‑metal icons, the spotlight firmly belonged to Vince Neil, making one of his first performances since a significant health-related break earlier this year.

Celebrating a Comeback

After nearly ten months off the road due to a medical procedure and doctor advisories against performing, this August 1 show in Boston followed by the Bangor show felt like a rebirth. Fans greeted Vince with obvious excitement and relief as he took the stage with boundless energy, clearly rejuvenated and deeply grateful to be back.

Setlist — Vince Neil Solo Set (Bangor, ME, August 2, 2025):

    1.    Dr. Feelgood
    2.    Shout at the Devil
    3.    Looks That Kill
    4.    Smokin’ in the Boys Room (Brownsville Station cover)
    5.    Kickstart My Heart
    6.    Girls, Girls, Girls
    7.    Wild Side

The selection leaned heavily on Mötley Crüe classics, along with one well‑placed cover that paid homage to rock ’n’ roll roots—an energetic package that fit perfectly for a triumphant return.

Performance Highlights

Vince’s vocals came through strong and surprisingly youthful, considering the lengthy hiatus he’d endured. Each song carried purpose—punctuated by genuine emotion and a powerful stage presence. The crowd sang along, especially during massive anthems like Kickstart My Heart and Girls, Girls, Girls. The brief setlist didn’t feel short, but focused and tight with momentum throughout.

At times, there seemed to be a deeper connection in his delivery, as if this moment mattered more than ever—each lyric a testament to coming through adversity stronger on the other side.

Final Thoughts

While the overall show was part of a triple‑headline glam‑metal experience (including Poison’s Bret Michaels and Stephen Pearcy of Ratt), it was Vince Neil’s set that left the biggest mark. After being told he might never perform again, simply hearing his voice live again was a win. The energetic performance, backed by a classic song selection and emotional undercurrent, curated a memorable return.

Vince Neil’s return to the stage wasn’t just about nostalgia—it was about resilience, determination, and the enduring power of rock music.
