Senior League World Series

Monty Rand Photography is the official photography studio of the Senior League World Series held each of the last 8 years at Mansfield Stadium here in Bangor. The tournament will be back again this year on August 15th thru the 21st. The championship game the past 3 years has been broadcast on ESPN U.

Since 2002, Mansfield Stadium has had the privilege of hosting the Senior Little League World Series right here in Bangor, Maine. Senior Little League is the 15-16 year old division of Little League Baseball. The tournament involves ten teams coming from five United States regions, four International champions from Canada, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Europe/Middle East/Africa, along with the Maine District Three host team.

2010 will mark the 9th anniversary of Mansfield Stadium hosting this prestigious tournament, and the event will remain in Bangor as long as it can be financially supported. We are making the event bigger and better each year, and we hope to be able to bring it back to Bangor for many years to come. 2010 will also mark the 50th anniversary of the series.

The first round of the tournament is played in pools. The teams are divided into two pools for the first five days of the tournament, with each team playing four games.

After the semi-final games have been played, we recognize the outstanding work of each of the teams in an awards banquet, to be held on Friday evening. Here, teams are awarded with their Regional Championship trophies, and the two teams that are playing in the championship game are recognized.
